...Get people to read your yahoo 360 Blog without resorting to shameless tactics like this?
I was trying to say it in an unconventional way, but I am looking for serious ideas. I have been putting some work into it and few people have ever seen it. This is the second time I am posting this question. I didn’t get many replies last time.
I am doing an interesting thing with my blog, but I am having trouble attracting enough of a following to justify my efforts. If you like reading fiction stories, come and visit. I have an original, unpublished work of mine that I am dolling out chapter-by-chapter. This content doesn’t exist anywhere else, and I believe that it is a good story.
So, come and check it out. If you like it, spread the word. If you have comments or questions, please post them. Most of all, though, if you have any ideas of how I can attract a larger audience to my blog, please answer this question.
Update:By the way, I am looking for readership and opinions of my work, not friends or gratuitous attention.

It doesn't seem like this is a good tactic to get people to your blog, as I'm the only one who is answering your question. It doesn't make me want to see your blog, either.
What you need to do is offer something that people want. Ask your friends to go onto your site and then have the word spread by mouth. That's the quickest and best way.
OK. You're a writer? Then write some form of advertisment for your blog. Short. Sweet. Interesting. Original. Something to make people want to see what's going to happen next in the fiction you write... You know the texts written on the back cover of books, you need smth like that. When you've done that, post it here and if you're any good, you'll have lots of traffic. Just aim for the right type of audience, don't try to conquer all and say all about it. Give us a glimpse of something cool and... you'll see.
You can visit other people's blogs and leave a comment so that other people find out about your blog as well. Be choosy when adding friends. Select those who really blog and are worth reading. If you read them, they will read you , too. Avoid sending messages to people asking them to read your blog. Most importantly, keep blogging without worrying too much about comments or visitors. If you have something interesting to say, people will visit you. You may also choose to list your Yahoo 360 page in a search engine. Hope this helps. Good luck
Get involved! Visit your friends pages and their friends pages. Leave SINCERE comments when you see something that interests you. Click on your own interest links and find people that share your same interests.
Quite honestly, I will check out someones page who leaves a message on here, that says "come check out my page" but I have never left a comment or answered the question. I see most of those people as the people who are just looking for vast amounts of friends, just so they can say "I have friends". Who cares if none of those people is involved in any kind of meaningful dialog with you. I'd rather have 10 people that are involved than 300 that aren't. Just my opinion.
Sign in Yahoo 360 Friends group, put a message there and people will know about you
I actually think that this is a very good idea. Lots of people read answers and it exposes you to all types of people from all over the world.
personally I would go to someones 360 that said hey go look at my 360 then someone who would go all out trying to give me a song and dance about why I should. with a world full of cons the less sugarcoating the better results.

Shameless tactics??
So what??
Remind me of the last great writer that had shame!
None.
No such beast.
My suggestion?? Keep resorting to shameless tactics.
This one for instance... this is as good as anything.
If it puts the product in front of the customer, it's good.
Stop begging and go find a job.
