Because currently, it's politically convenient to do so. That's really about the extent of it. It didn't turn out like anyone thought it would, and so even though all but a handful agreed at the time, and voted accordingly, they now denounce the action and blame Bush personally for the allegedly bad intel they ALL believed then and go so far as to say he lied to them to make them agree. It's hypocrisy at its finest, and the people to whom you're referring have mastered that. Their followers don't even mind--refuse to acknowledge it. They just stick with the "Bush lied" narrative and hope enough people keep believing it, and from the answers here, a bunch do.
But, at least Bush had a plan. None of Obama's glove slaps had any follow through or apparent thought about the aftermath.
Your answer is measured in blood and treasure. Bush's wars cost us over 6800 soldier's lives, and over $1 trillion (the number keeps growing because so many more were disabled in combat).
Obama used mostly surgical drone strikes; the costs all around in blood and treasure were exponentially less. Essentially we're looking at dumb warfare vs smart warfare, and it doesn't take an Einstein to figure out which is better.
Then there's the fact that Bush lied us into the Iraq war - Iraq had NOTHING to do with 9/11 and was keeping Iran in check. Long term, most of our current Iran problems came about because we freed them from the threat of their neighbor Iraq.
I used to be an Obama supporter. One of the reasons I supported him was because I thought he'd get us out of war. He didn't, and my support of him ended. Oh, and his going around on that apology tour was an embarrassment. Going around kissing the behinds of various world leaders is not real diplomacy. It's a white flag of surrender, not diplomacy. With diplomacy, you can bargain with people. Negotiate and make a good deal. And of course you do it respectfully. You show respect and in turn also demand respect. Diplomacy is not going around bowing down to everyone. It's shocking to see someone as intelligent as Obama not understand this basic fact. It's almost like he just hated his country and wanted to sell it out.

I missed the part where I “supported” any bombing where America was not directly attacked.

iran?
He also ceded the whole back to the terrorists creating ISIS and countless deaths.
Why are you still talking about Obama?
You don't know what you are talking about.
Nothing a liberal does or says makes sense ... they themselves don't even know why they do the things they do ..
I agree. We should have stayed out of those, too.
The biggest problem I had with Iraq was that it was shoved down out throats under false pretenses and thousands died.
