He needs four more years to compensate for G. W. Bush, who had eight years for taking it down and leaving him an economy in shreds.
Plus no one ever sees to Bank Reform. It's been going on for many decades, 2008 to now was NOT the first, there have been MANY instances, getting more and more serious along the way -- ALL of them fixed at taxpayer expense with most all of the worst culprits skating.
I think those culprits were primarily Republican, 80% at least. I lived through and watched all that I am talking about here.
The stimulus prevented the USA from going into a deep depression like the 1930s. Instead the stimulus kept the problems at a milder recession level by providing money for businesses when the banks were not providing business loans. I know I financially benefited from the stimulus, and so did millions of other people.
We went from losing 800,000 jobs a month to gaining 100,000. If republicans would have let dems do anything these past two years we would be much better off than we are now. Republicans voted against their own ideas...they will do anything to get back in office including destroy our economy
'A123 Systems, which had received a $249 million grant from the U.S. government, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Tuesday, giving Republicans fresh ammunition to attack the Obama administration's subsidies for green energy.
'A123 has agreed to sell its automotive operations, including two factories in Michigan, for $125 million to Johnson Controls Inc, a leading battery supplier and another recipient of federal green subsidies.'
LG Chem: Workers At Stimulus Funded Plant Admit To Watching Movies And Playing Cards
'LG Chem, a stimulus funded subsidiary of Compact Power, was once touted as a prime example for green energy initiatives by President Barack Obama. The Holland, Michigan company accrued approximately $150 million of taxpayer funds to further their efforts to make electrical batteries. Plant employees admitted to Target 8 News that they routinely sit around and watch movies, play cards and clean around the facility, because they have no orders to fill.
'LG Chem has not yet shipped a single battery. The Chevy Volt was reportedly supposed to be the Compact Power subsidiary’s biggest customer...
'Current employees interviewed by Target 8 confirm that employees are still idle due to a lack of work, and often play cards or board games.
'In 2011, workers made approximately 100,000 test battery cells that allegedly worked well, but that task basically ceased in December. The test battery cells were reportedly sent out for recycling earlier this year. The LG Chem plant in Holland has already spent $133 million of stimulus funds, the Washington Examiner notes. The bulk of the money was used for construction and equipment, with approximately 40 percent of that amount allegedly paid to foreign companies.'
Obviously, you know very little about the economy. But, let's say, for a moment that you're right...
The answer to your question of why it failed is because the asinine, brainless Republicans insisted it be A) too SMALL to do enough and B) made sure that almost HALF of it was in tax cuts to the rich. $300 Billion in tax cuts that do nothing.
It was spent on the wrong things. Paying off Obama's buddies in the unions and giving money to bankrupt "green companies" didn't do much for the Country.
Because he is stupid and didn't watch where the money the went and decided to redo it by printing even more money that we don't have to track it again.

The stimulus bill was a wish list for liberal special interest groups and the largest amount of pork in history.
Even Obama joked that it created few jobs when he admitted that "the shovel ready jobs were not so shovel ready"

Get a clue.
It was successful, you just dont understand whats going on. Read the stimulus website and see what was done and is still being done.
It was spent on the wrong things. Paying off Obama's buddies in the unions and giving money to bankrupt "green companies" didn't do much for the Country.
Apparently it did. Are you not aware of the economic growth the US has made since 2008, or are you too clouded in Right-wing bias, my friend?
