Why Did Gerard Piqué Move to Manchester United?
So I just saw a picture of gerard pique in the barcelona team when he was really young, but then I thought he was formerly in manchester united before being in the position he is in now in fc barcelona. So then why did he move to mu if he was already in barca from the first place?

At the time, Sir Alex offered him the chance to play first-team football. He didn't get it there and then Guardiola brought him back under the same promise.
at that time Fergie and the united scouts were gunning for every up and coming new talent in the game - even if they had 4 or 5 guys who could play in the same position and 5 more in the reserves and youth academy - they were greedy and Fergie woul want to bring all of them and more to Old Trafford.
this has been the fergie philosophy in recent years especialy since 2003/04 after Arsenal had won the title without losing a game - he went nuts, and started bringing in all sorts of youngsters from abroad instead of bringing some out of the youth academy.
they have scouting systems and agreements in place with some clubs across the globe - i beleive they had some agreement with Barce during the Pique thing.
