Why are there background checks for guns and not alcohol when they are both massively abused and constitutional rights? ?
There are no waiting periods for beer, wine, and liquor. There are no serial numbers or a national registry. You don't lose your rights to use alcohol when one commits a felony.
You do lose your "rights" to alcohol for some felonies. Not drinking can be a condition of parole or probation.
Moreover, there are no "rights" to alcohol. It is not a Constitutional right. The Constitution explicitly gives states to regulate or even ban alcohol where and if they wish.
Unregulated guns are even less of a Constitutional right. The very first thing that the Second Amendment says is that no free country can survive without some amount of gun regulation. It doesn't say exactly how much is needed, but it says that regulation is "essential", before it makes any mention of rights.
I fail to see the connection between guns (which can hurt/kill people) and alcohol. Alcohol is not controlled. Guns are.
And FYI my Dad was killed by a drunk driver and I STILL don't agree with your reasoning (or lack thereof).
You want serial numbers on liquor bottles?
What does your psychotherapist think about your various opinions like this one: "Where can I get a working electric chair? I need to buy a working electric chair, not a toy one or a fake one. I am unable to find one online - were do prisons get them from? There has ro be a place that manufactures them, right?"

I would rather see somebody walk into a school with a beer than a gun.

Alcohol IS NOT a right, Constitutionally protected or otherwise.
There isn't anywhere near as much abuse of guns as alcohol.
I agree that most gun laws are USELESS for the claimed purpose, but your BS question only makes you look ignorant.
they should but maybe they feel they cant tell people what to drink
Guns kill other people. Alcohol mostly just harms yourself, and there are TONS of regulations on alcohol, as well as taxes.
Still don't quite get the success of Prohibition and the war on drugs, do you?
