CFC's aren't greenhouse gases (ozone layer) and if carbon monoxide rose to any significant level, we would be dead. Carbon Dioxide is what is driving temperatures up and methane is a side effect. Methane is released when the rising temperatures caused by carbon dioxide melt permafrost. Methane is a more potent greenhouse gas (higher rise in temperature) but its levels will still remain low. Therefore Carbon Dioxide is the main contributor to global warming. C
