It was a total con job. Despite his past record and associations with communists and far left radicals, he, with the help of the mainstream media, managed to convince enough Americans that he was a moderate. His message of "hope and change" was empty (hope for what? What kind of change?), but it presented unengaged voters with a blank canvas, on which they could paint whatever they wanted in a president.
But now Obama has a record to contend with. The "hope and change" didn't materialize for most people, and he has revealed himself as a radical left-wing extremist.
As one of his extremist mentors, Jeremiah Wright, put it, "the bloom is off the rose."
Hype is no longer necessary. Those of us who pay attention to facts and don't follow what talkers tell us to believe, KNOW that Obama has done the best he could but was stopped at most corners by the despicable House teapartiers. But, he will be re-elected and then we'll see a robust economy again..he now knows he can't count on the Republicans for anything. Onward and Upward!!!!
It's still a little early. Wait a couple more months and it will start. Now it's "FORWARD". That's his new campaign slogan. Same as the communists use.
Don't forget his Roman columns. Obama standing there on stage with all these Roman columns surrounding him and all these people mesmerized by him like he was Julius Caesar. That was a very bizarre scene. I remember thinking these fools are nuts and don't know it.

The fact that you think of a fairly successful president as a fad shows that you shouldn't be listened to, at the very least.
"Yes We Can" turned out to be "No He Can't"
