The real key is to re-institute tariffs and get out of the one-sided "free trade" agreements. Unless the Manufacturing Jobs for America initiative addresses that it's just an excuse to spend money and raise the national debt even higher.

If it's proposed by Democrats, then it is designed to do the exact opposite from what is claimed, and it will only result in even greater losses of manufacturing jobs.

God, I hope nobody actually supports that! That's one of the most destructive bills I've ever heard of. Please, for the love of God, do not let politicians attempt to manipulate foreign exchange rates in the name of protectionism! Rising prices means fewer jobs, bottom line. This bill would have the exact opposite of the supposed intent, and anyone who has ever had an introductory macroeconomics class could tell you that!

We will get manufacturing jobs back in the USA but the work will be done by robots and not unionized workers. So this solves nothing.

depends if they try to pass it piecemeal or as one large piece of legislation. I only browsed as opposed to breaking it down, but there is an awful lot of spending(investing) in it along with more tax code loopholes. Never a good thing as far as republicans go.
