With the US ramping up presence in the South China Sea and China telling their navy to “Ram US ships” what could this mean to the US? Could a war break out? To my understand the South China Sea is a highly contested area with multiple counties being “invaded” with China building artificial islands and militirizing them. What could the outcome be and how soon do you guys think?

The fact that both sides have nuclear weapons means the chance is extremely low, this is far more important than the economics (economic dependence has never prevented wars - WWI is a glaring example). because the outcome would be mutually assured destruction.
At most, any war with China would be a Korean War-style limited war scenario or a proxy war like Vietnam or Syria.
Only if the USA starts it China Has proven time and time again it does not want War but won't let the USA push it around As it did with Japan
Zero
What CHINA is really after is all the underwater resources in the South China Sea. The USA on the other hand just wants to ensure the right of free passage. As long as each lets the other have what they want, there will be no war.
War is not good for the Economy and China will not do anything that will hurt their Economy.
quite good , if we try to support Taiwan Independence. .....or assert any authority over the Spratley Islands , which no fewer than 8 countries CLAIM, but CHINA is the one who has already built military bases and dig in.
They have ZERO intention of sharing the natural resources and oil and gas deposits with anyone.
One day, push will surely come to SHOVE over the Spratley Islands or Taiwan.
Not very likely. The two biggest economies in the world who rely on each other.
The possibility is very high
0.0% We are too economically co-dependent.
