Some of the fashion trends that we see today look slightly ridiculous, but because it’s supposed to be the ‘in thing’ people are wearing it. What do you think? How some fashionable clothes don’t improve a person’s appearance and how some so called ‘old fashioned’ clothes still make a person look good. Why do you think it’s important to dress well and look good?

When referring to the "in thing," people don't always realize that a great deal of the time, it's not a fashion trend, but rather what's referred to in the fashion world as a "fad." Fads are just the latest clothes or accessories that local stores have decided are the new hip thing, and they only last for a short period of time.
Another important thing to keep in mind is that what we see in fashion magazines and on the runway are not always designed to be for people to wear. But rather for ready-to-wear designers to be inspired by, in using colors, textures, silhouettes, patterns, etc.
When it comes to dressing well and looking good, let's be honest, it's to present ourselves how we want and be judge by others how we wish to be perceived. But dressing well also changes dependant on each individual.
Well, I find that especially with shoes. Uggs, to be more descriptive. They're ugly, yet everyone seems to think they are fashionable and cool. Which is totally ridiculous.
Its important for me to look good and dress well because I never know who I am going to meet when I go out into the streets. And if I see someone I know out and about, I don't want to look terrible, because that gives off a bad impression. :)
