Wow! I love to cook, but I love to cook too many things to list them all here. I don't really think you have a need to know some of those things. I'm in the US in CT, I have adult children and I'm female. I'm a good cook, and prefer to keep it as healthy as possible. I NEVER buy frozen dinners, or prepared foods and don't go to fast food restaurants. I'll fix things for company I might not otherwise make (baked potatoes, cheese sauces and more), but otherwise keep it nutritious, healthy and delicious. I'm single, but still put care and creativity into cooking for myself.
Just some if the things I enjoy cooking:
• Since Thanksgiving is upon us, I'll start there. It's one of my favorite meals to prepare. I order a whole turkey breast, and have it butterflied and pounded. I make my own herb, whole grain stuffing, lay that on the butterflied breast, then roll it jellyroll style, and tie it. I press and herb crusted mixture over the top, covering for half the cooking time, uncovering the rest. With that I have roasted rosemary sweet potato slices, cranberry sauce, broccoli & cauliflower in a cheese sauce. And the best part... the turkey looks sooo beautiful when it's sliced with the jellyroll style turkey and stuffing.
• And a pre-Christmas holiday party faire: Spinach lasagna rolls. It's lasagna noodles cooked and each rolled with a ricotta, mozz, chopped spinach, etc. mixture and rolled, filling the pan with those. Sauce in the bottom, then topped with more sauce and mozz. cheese slices. It's basically lasagna without having to slice it. Doing it this way doesn't "eat up" the sauce or make the mess the traditional way does. This was a great discovery and everyone loves it. I use whole wheat noodles... no one knows the difference. I make 2 sauces - one w/o meat, the other with my home made meatballs. Sauces cook for hours. I made the lasagna with the meatless sauce, so both meat eaters and vegetarians are accommodated. That's served with my home made garlic bread, using a wonderful, crusty whole grain blend bread and fresh, crushed garlic, butter and olive oil. And of course a nice salad with my own dressing. Another thing that will never been seen in my house is store bought bottled dressings.
• Christmas dinner: Menu: Surf 'n turf. Filet mignon, and collossal stuffed shrimp, stuffed with a whole grain herb & crabmeat stuffing. Shrimp is cooked with herbs, butter and lemon drizzled over, and dry vermouth (my favor wine to cook with). Again, garlic bread & salad. Possibly baked potatoes. We don't eat white potatoes, but I think this once will be okay. At least I'll serve them... probably won't eat one.
• A simple meal that I make for myself, is fresh shrimp sauteed in herbs, lemon, crushed garlic & a little oil, over whole wheat angel hair pasta with a home made Thai peanut sauce (using natural pb). When the pasta is JUST drained, I add some cut up baby spinach. The hot pasta cooks it just right, then I toss the shrimp, and pasta with the peanut sauce. yummy! Just had that one the other night.
That's enough. There are too many things to add here.
I am a 19 year old female- college student here! I am American, and I love to cook! I make a lot of chicken dishes. Stuffed Chicken is my specialty. I also enjoy making Italian Pasta dishes. I try to cut down fat and calories to make my meals healthier. I am always giving my own touch to recipes. I can cook pretty much anything if you give me a recipe. I stick to cooking from recipes and cook books, but occasionally I can come up with my own. I used to cook every night, but now that I have to work 30+ hours on top of full time school, I only cook real meals a couple times a week.
I am a very basic cook, I'm a 26 year old white female in the midwest. I love to try new things but they usually don't turn out too well. Some of my most basic meals are taco salad (yay for easy) chicken stirfry, hamburger helper-type stuff (I don't buy it, I just make it myself) lots and lots of different types of pastas and sauces, usually different things with chicken and then I also make this SUPER asian dish I got off the Kraft Foods website. Those are pretty much my routine when I do cook, which isn't extremely often.

Trained as a Chef and I love to cook. Do most of the cooking here but wife does some.
The one thing I will never cook is Chitlings or some say Chitterlings.
They are nasty and stink up the whole house for days
I cook almost every day, a lot of pasta and rice based dishes. I usually try to have one source of protein, a starch or two and at least 1 vegetable. I'll do tuna rice with potatoes, carrots and homemade biscuits or frozen battered fish patties with broccoli and biscuits or something like that. I work full time and go to school so I don't have much time. I do make homemade biscuits often though, it's just 1 cup bisquick plus 1/3 cup milk to make 4. I don't roll them or anything, I just make drop biscuits. I would love to have more time to cook, I try to make a homemade lasagna once a month.
