I found in interesting that she said (twice) that Russia had attacked Georgia without provocation. That is not at all correct. This conflict has been going on since Georgia broke away. There has been provocation going on for many years on both sides. This suggest a complete lack of understanding of the events over the last decade.
Let's just say I'm glad Dick Cheney is over dealing with Putin right now, and not the candidate, and I am no fan of his.
Wow Calvin, that looks like a totally honest and well put answer!! I am impressed, and I agree with parts. I don't particularly care for her, but she did an outstanding job on her speech at the RNC, that person was not present during her interview. I thought she came off VERY badly on the foreign issues. I thought alot of her answer sounded over-rehearsed, and I saw absolutely no confidence whatsoever. I agree that she is going to be in trouble in the debates with Biden when foreign issues come up. I also think she needs to lay off the war, war, war. We are in two, we don't need three.
I like this woman on a host of issues (esp domestic social) and was highly impressed with her speech at the RNC convention, but thought the ABC interview was horrible. She is answering in the same manner, and with the same answers as McCain and that will not work for her. She can not speak with authority on many of these matters, and she needs to be careful how she comes off to people (esp on issues that she has very little knowledge about). She needs to stay away from trying to appear to lecture people, or from pretending to be an high authority on these subjects. I would prefer she answer her own way, and tell us how she feels (rather than how McCain feels), but I know she can not do that. She is going to have significant problems in a debate with Biden on foreign policy matters.
I am not ready to say she is of no substance however. I don't want to judge this on one interview, but I would suggest she do the next one on domestic issues, and stop trying to defend McCain's bad positions even in that regard, when she obviously does not agree with it all herself.
If I were to give her performance in the interview a grade I would have to give it a F however.
She knows all the key words: “Drill, baby drill”, “Russia is bad”, and then, very soon, it will be “BOMB, BABY, BOMB!” And maybe she will soon learn (or Joe Lieberman will whisper to her ear on some occasion) how many THOUSANDS OF NUCLEAR WARHEADS Russia has.
What other experience do you want from the VP of the country with a military budget over $500 billion and two ongoing wars?? This is SOOOO SEXIST!
She tried so I will give her that, but she should have kept her mouth shut on forgien affairs and policies cause now she looks like she wants to start a war with every country that does not agree with us.

She is “LIKE TOTALLY READY TO LEAD”!

She is so NOT ready. Biden is going to make her cry in the debates if she can't do 1 little interview......
It proved how little she actually knows! This must be a nightmare someone wake me up! I can't believe this woman is running for VP OF THE US!
She's trying to look intelligent. Poor thing. She'd be so dangerous in office.
Palin/McCain (note the order): Eager to start World War 3.
Why? McCain believes there is fame that one gets from war (see all his POW ads) and is willing to sacrifice American lives to get more.
Palin wants to reduce everyone's freedom with her fundamentalism just like the slavery via fundamentalism practiced by terrorists.
Obama: Strive for peace via negotiations first.
These elections are getting on my nerves i wish it was November already!
Not to great.
No confidence. Looked more like a professor giving an oral exam to a student who didn't prepare.
