I mean people (women) dont´vote women just because we share gender, we vote for people who are capable for the job. But I feel they are pushing too hard the gender card as in they continue to say that the media and the Dems are picking on Palin just because she is a woman and not because she is not prepared or experienced enough to be the VP of an old and sick candidate.
Shouldn´t they stop with the stockings and lipstick issue and start focusing on the issues?
I mean the Dems are not saying all the time that every attack on Obama is because he is AfricanAmerican...
And She started the gender stuff since the very first day by saying she was kind of the salvation for feminism...

Give me a break. The main reason women were supporting Hillary was because of her gender - and that's a fact. The second reason was because of her liberal politics. Does that mean that all voters are that way? No, but I would wager that more Democrats vote on things like gender or party, rather than the qualifications of the candidate.
Should the campaign focus on issues? I'm with you there, but it goes for both camps. Obama was deliberate in using the lipstick on a pig reference. If you listen to it, he paused when he said "you can put lipstick on a pig". His audience reacted very strongly to that comment, they knew who he was referring to. The woman who was heard around the world for her lipstick - hockey mom joke was very fresh in their minds too. So I say both candidates should stick to the issues. Obama should be man enough to debate McCain more than three times too.
I would say that presidential election should be about major issues and qualifications not about race nor gender but OBAMA's associations just wont escape me and IS a huge factor affecting my vote. Not even when he says he will lower my taxes or no taxes at all, I will still not entrust this guy with the nuclear code. And that's where I strongly disagree with Matt Damon.
