I understand what the sentence is supposed to mean but I'm wondering what exactly does ように mean and how is it used in this sentence? Thanks very much in advance! :)
"ようにor ような" originally means "like" in English. Examples would be:
(I wish I could speak Japanese like you.)
(She looks like an angel.)
"ように" after verbs means "to start," like the following examples.
(The patient started walking."
(My daughter started to talk.)
As a result it could mean "possibility."
In this case... "ããã«" will be something as "able to".
