there are 9/9 in a whole....so 3 is 3 x 9/9 = 27/9
so 3 - 4/9 = 27/9 - 4/9 = 23/9
4 + 2/3 = 12/3 + 2/3 = 14/3
23/9 divided by 14/3 = 23/9 x 3/14 = 23/3 x 1/14 = 23/42
The answer is 23/42
