c + (4 – 3c) – 2 = 0 please explain and show work. Thank you!
c + 4 - 3c - 2 = 0 (First group all like terms together. Put all the c's together and keep their signs.)
c - 3c + 4 - 2 = 0
- 2c + 2 = 0
- 2 c = 0 - 2 (Then move all of the numbers to one side of the equation across the equal sign.)
c = -2/-2 = 1
c = 1
You cant do anything in the parentheses so you take them away.
c + 4 - 3c - 2 = 0
combine like terms
-2c + 2 = 0
isolate the c
2c = 2
the answer is c+1, come on this is 5th grade stuff you have the answer now figure out how its done, seriously
