WHAT JESUS SAID ABOUT DEATH: When his good friend Lazarus died, Jesus said to his disciples: "Lazarus our friend has fallen asleep." But Jesus didn't mean that Lazarus was resting. Jesus father said: "Lazarus has died." (John 11:11-14) So Jesus compared death to sleep. He didn't say that Lazarus was in heaven or with his family members who had died. And he didn't say that Lazarus was suffering in hell or being reborn as another human or an animal. No, it was as if Lazarus was asleep. Other scriptures compare death to a deep sleep. The Bible says that when Stephen was killed "he fell asleep in death."(Acts 7:60) The apostle Paul also wrote that some Christians had "fallen asleep in death."- Corinthians 15:6JW.ORG
In the Bible at Ezekiel 18:4 says Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. And verse 20 said The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. And we are all sinners, but there is hope for us. They live again to share in the blessings God has In store for mankind through the ransom sacrifice of Christ Jesus, for he said: “I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.” “All those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.”
Often the soul is equated with the total person. For instance, Genesis 2:7 tates: “God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul.” The first man, Adam, was a soul.
The understanding that the word soul can mean the whole person is supported by other scriptures. For example, the Bible speaks of a soul’s doing work. Leviticus 23:30 The soul is spoken of as being impatient, irritated, sleepless, fearful, and depressed. Judges 16:16
Referring to a soul as a person, Romans 13:1 states: Let every soul be in subjection to the superior authorities. And at 1 Peter 3:20, we read: “In Noah’s days, a few people, that is, eight souls, were carried safely through the water.”
Nothing in these scriptures indicates that the soul is some immaterial entity that lives on after death.
Your soul descends to Naraka (Purgatory) where Lord Yama adjudicates your Karma and then you incarnate back into the worlds, the heavens (svargas), Naraka(hell) for a term, or you may recieve Moksha (release from Samsara) and ascend to Brahmaloka to learn with the Devas to achieve a second Moksha then ascend to a Pure Plain (your own personal universe of creation).
