I think why they are called sellouts or race traitors is because a lot republicans are racist. I can recall many who said derogatory comments about blacks. There's racist democrats, yes, but I don't hear of them as often as I do republicans. Either way I don't care. I pledge alliance to neither party. Also, not all blacks consider them sellouts.

Plus, many believe republican policies do not have much to offer or benefit blacks, but the democratic party does.
