Will the liberal media continue helping 0bama with his 'shiny objects strategy' to distract people about the dismal economy?
Some recent examples of the liberal media's 'shiny objects strategy' would be gay marriage, birth control, Romney being a bully in high school, Republican war on women and comprehensive immigration reform. Perhaps next week it will be 0bama's pre-season Super Bowl picks and/or his early NCAA tournament brackets.
The Labor Department reports that 367,000 more Americans applied for unemployment benefits last week. That is still about 100,000 more than pre-recession levels. Economists lowered their economic growth projection for 2012 from an already stagnant 2.2 percent to an anemic 1.5 percent. Gallup reported one-in-three young U.S. workers is underemployed. The federal budget deficit is at an all-time high. Americans are fleeing the workforce in record numbers. And if Congress and 0bama do nothing, we will all be hit with a job-killing $494 billion tax hike on New Year's Day.

Obama will continue to urge America to look " FORWARD " because he knows that if America looks backward over the past 3 + years they will be reminded of just how terrible Obama's record actually is.
This is why Obama is running away from his record instead if in his record.
jobs .
lets look at the other side . employers . wall street analysts are saying that for 2011 , publicly traded corporations ( those that issue stocks ) made THEE MOST PROFITS , ever , in history . they are sitting on TRILLIONS of dollars of ' reserves ' . apple has 80 billion in cash and cash equivalents , GE has 60 billion , even michael's the craft store has 165 million . the problem is - it's just sitting there . money has to move around to help the economy . they are not hiring , they are not giving cost of living raises , they are going cheap on dividends . it's as if the zionist agenda of greed of wall street , corporations , and the bankers , are conspiring to make obama look bad , even if millions have to suffer . sorry , i feel we need to BRING BACK the pre reagan era fed tax rates on corporations and the rich . we need to get rid of free trade agreements to bring home home millions of jobs .
we need to vote for a president and congress that salutes a flag with five pointed stars , not your six .
I see the Monday morning propaganda script is out . How did you get it so early ?
" distraction " ? How did the Blunt Amendment affect the Highway bill ?
" birth control " ? Would you prefer rising medical costs ?
" anemic " growth ? Sure , we can't get a free standing infrastructure bill without de-funding Planned Parenthood .
" my ONLY job is to make Obama a one term president " Mitch McConnell . Elected to make Obama a one term president .
" job killing " ? Job killing is deregulation that allows the housing market to implode and outsourcing 7 million jobs .
Throw out some more BUZZ words , I've got all day .
Let's just examine one of your objections to President Obama's re-election. "The federal budget deficit is at an all-time high." What are the factors at play which have contributed to that situation since President Obama was sworn in to office?
When George Bush left office there were two wars ongoing in Iraq and Afghanistan. I don't know the exact costs of both, but I believe the annual cost of the war in Afghanistan was roughly $200 billion per year, paid for by borrowed money as had been the case since the invasions of both countries. Where was the opportunity for Obama to save costs in either of these conflicts?
When George Bush left office the Medicaid Part D program he signed into law without increasing federal taxes to pay for it nor did he cut other budget items to pay for this increase in federal spending. When Bush left office he didn't take Medicaid Part D with him. It continues to cost money every year, paid for with money the federal government borrows.
When George Bush left office the Bush tax cuts survived the end of his term. President Obama has extended those tax cuts twice as part of the strategy to counteract the recession Keynesian style. All with the full approval of every single Republican in Congress and, based on your comments about the job-killing effects of tax increases, I assume you agree.
When George Bush left office the annual deficit had grown in most or all of his years in office. That deficit increased sharply simply due to decrease in taxes being paid across the board has many businesses and individuals paid less as their earnings declined because of the steep decreases in economic activity caused by the Bush recession. In addition to this phenomenon, the economic stimulus bill contained a host of new tax breaks or credits intended to encourage economic activity and job creation. That stimulus bill included those tax breaks and credits with bipartisan approval even if individual Republicans then voted against the stimulus to protect their political bases at home.
At which point, other than with the passage of APCA/Obamacare, did the President go on a spending spree that was not already underway when he took the oath of office? Which of the these should he have cut in your opinion: Medicare Part D or the two unpaid wars? Or are you suggesting that he should not have extended the Bush tax cuts?
Taxes are going up on January 1 for all Americans. The federal government needs those revenues to pay for the services demanded by the American people and the ordinary functions of government. If you want those rates decreased, then there will be ample opportunity to analyze the tax code and get rid of deductions and exemptions and credits and corporate subsidies that make little or no economic sense. Unless it's yourposition that the federal tax code was perfect, just like the state of the American economy, when Bush left office.
Any time you want to discuss the current Senate transportation bill held up by House Tea Party Republicans, principal writedowns on underwater mortgages, extending the Stafford loan interest rate subsidy being held up by both House and Senate Republicans, and the necessity for restructuring the US Postal Service's schedule for pre-funding retirement health benefits, which Senate Democrats have addressed and which House Tea Party Republicans have indicated is DOA, that will be a welcome discussion on actual legislation that would affect millins of private sector jobs and would generate significant economic growth.
Like the House Tea Party Republicans you have no interest in doing anything that creates jobs and promotes economic growth. Your just interested in a four corner economic stall so you can try to capture the Senate, House and Oval Office this November and protect your tax cuts. The ones that had so much to do with the doubling of the national debt under Bush and which has continued to pile up deficits and debt under Obama.
Enjoy yourself a deeply hypocritical Tea Party Republican Monday.
They are going to try to convince the American public that Romney is not a robot.
probably something on racism , he has not played that card for a couple weeks
it is going to be something about cats.
