I'm buying shoes from a Japanese website, so what does this mean? its in the material section, is it leather? is it PVC? if leather, what kind of leather is it?
Update:there are other kind of leather than cow's, like pigskin, deer or lamb for example

I'm not certain how it should be pronounced ("Aiyasu" is my guess), but the meaning is "comfortable or easy (literally, "peaceful, tranquil") fit".
No cows were harmed in looking up the answer in my Japanese dictionary, but it's possible a large number of trees were cut down, as my dictionary is big enough for a cat to sleep on and thick enough to stop a shotgun blast. As poor as my Japanese is, those would probably be better uses for it.
