I don't get it, and my dictionary doesn't give me a real meaning, so I guess it's a kind of a softner or something?
This is the whole sentence:
もっとよく
見て下さい
ってば
I know it means "look more closely please" but what's the use of ってば? Does it change the meaning of the sentence in any way?
Help is much appreciated :)
Update:I know what's the sentence mean ._. I appreciate your effort but please don't reply if you have no idea of what you are talking about you used google translator, I can do that too ._. but I don't because online machine don't make any sense so unless you are a japanese native speaker or a very fluent one don't bother to reply ._. and anyway my question is what's the use of ってば, not the translation itself.

I m a Japanese native speaker.
I think that the whole meaning of this sentence is " You should look/take care more closely".
ってば is very strong word in Japanese.
So in this case,we,Japanese, use ってば to listener
when the listener lacks the closet attention that need to be payed.
Especially when Girls use the word of "ってば” to Boys,
she express the feeling of be getting irritated because of his attitude.
sorry for my poor english. thank you
The ending form "てば" or "ってば” has three meanings, and here it is used just to show "how strongly you are appealing st". Only used in conversation. Might occasionally sound childish, slangy, or spoken by a brat in tantrum.
ex.) 嫌だってば、いやだああああ!= I hate it. No, no, no, no. / 待てってば。 = Wait. I said wait! / もう、大丈夫だってば。 Don't you hear me? I AM all right!
In case your are curious...
the other two meanings are:
1 You pick up some topic, and show that you are about to talk on the topic.
2 to present the subject of your sentence, with some affectionate feelings or reproach.
てば/ってば is a sentence ending particle(終助詞), and has an entry on goo dictionary. See #2. http://dictionary.goo.ne.jp/leaf/jn2/152201/m0u/%E...
... and also on Weblio dictionary.

I think it's like... "I say!" "I'm telling you!"
Check this dictionary.
