What do I say when my orofessor asks for more information after using “family emergency” as an excuse for missing an exam?
So I missed an exam for a stupid reason. I panicked and emailed the professor saying that there was a family emergency. He replied asking for more information regarding the family emergency. Honestly, I’m in a pursuing a doctoral degree and I already feel awful about using a dumb excuse as it is completely unprofessional. However, I panicked and I don’t want to walk back on this. So I need an family emergency related excuse that he won’t be able to verify. Any suggestions?
