Thanks! I'm learning a chapter in quantum chemistry and my mind was blown.
all electromagnetic radiation (in a vacuum) travels at the speed of 3x10^8m/s, therefore
dist = 3x10^8m/s x 4.85x10^-5 s = 14,550m
Been a while since I took physics, but electromagnetic radiation is essentially a fancy term for light and travels at a constant speed of 300,000km/s. So:
3 x 10^8m/s x 48.5 x 10^-6sec = 14,550 meters or 14.5km
