What did Thomas mean when He said to Jesus, “My Lord and my God(Ho Theos)” John 20:28?

John 20:24 Now Thomas (called Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him, "We have seen the Lord!" But he said to them, "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it." 26 A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!" 27 Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe." 28 Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!" 29 Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

The Jehovah's Witnesses will no allow Jesus to be called God.

Thomas was merely confessing that Jesus was His Lord and God. And the result was that Jesus called him a believer. Believer in what? That He died on the Cross and resurrected after three days. These two confessing with your mouth that he is Lord and God and believing in your heart that he died and rose again is what makes you a believer.

Romans 10:9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

Yes Jesus is not a god otherwise he would have corrected Thomas, Oh No I am not God I am a god!

He did not no where does Jesus say he is a god.

Update:

And Thomas in this case said HO THEOS! Jesus is HO THEOS. Thats Almighty God as well as Mighty God
