Not worth replacing trans on a car this old, but the engine and everything else are still perfect. My friend was able to get a free manual trans from a 1992 Honda Civic. But im not sure whether or not you can use a trans from a different vehicle

Do an OBD2 code check. Those are notorious for having shift solenoid failure- an easy and not too expensive repair. Will A Honda Civic transmission fit in that car? How big is the trunk, because that's all you can do with that. It will not adapt to the Chevy. Short answer; hell no.
Sure. All transmissions are interchangeable. *rolls eyes*
YIKES.....that will never work!
Is impala front wheel drive ?. I beleive honda is front wheel drive. The easiest way is to use same brand/type of the vehicle.
LOL!!! Let's take a Honda transmission and put it in a Chevy!! Yeah, that'll work real well because we all know Chevy and Honda used the same factory.
No.
I DONT see it happening, they wont bolt up together.
LOL. Well technically it could be done, with extreme modifications. But to do so it would cost more than double, if not triple, what the Impala is worth. Simply not a practical undertaking.
