Tory MPs want a £31,000 a year pay rise, can this be justified?
They want their salaries increased to £95,000 a year plus expenses. When most people are getting a 1 oir 2% pay rise how can these parasite MPs even think about this?.
£31k a year (on top of their current pay), plus subsidised food/drink, subsidised second homes and of course all those extra expenses - nice work if you can get it. I wonder if these are the same Tory MPs who want to scrap the minimum wage for the plebs?
They should be thinking about a pay CUT because let's face it most of them are useless.
SWEAT PEA....Nothing should come as a surprise, when dealing with these "Honourable " Gentlemen.
It was only in March 2011, that they agreed not to take a £1000 increase. This was accepted without a Common vote, after they were told to be in step with the British workers or risk public anger.
Even the poison dwarf John Bercow said he would not take any extra money.
So after just one year, they have suddenly decided to screw the Taxpayers a little bit more.
More than two thirds say their £65,738 a year salary should be £86,250.
And one in 12 are out for more than £100,000.
Tory MPs want most at £96,740. Lib Dems are after £78,361, with Labour seeking £77,322.
The Independent Standards Authority’s You-Gov poll comes two days after MPs voted to cap benefit rises at one per cent for three years.
One unnamed MP whinged: “The quality of MPs will reduce if the pay does not improve.”
This unnamed MP was clever enough to remain anonymous. How brave is that.
What bloody quality is he referring to ? I was never aware that quality played a part in our Parliament, certainly not in Governments.
they need £31,000 a year to compensate them for the loss of their "justifiable expenses" which tell you exactly how much each mp was actually fiddling a year.
people that make and enforce the law should not be able to exclude themselves from compliance, in fact as they work in this particular field, they should be made to adhere to them even more rigidly, to the point of attracting a heavier penalty for transgression.
if politicians decide public sector workers have their pay capped at 1% per year for 3 years, then this must also apply to them, because otherwise its total hypocrisy, as well as being duplicitous, in the form of i change the rules to suit myself, and i'm excluded from obeying them, which is a type of behaviour that belongs in the junior school playground, and not in the adult world.
The bad news is....they'll get it - the establishment 'itself' is voting for that pay rise.
Its got nothing to do with that off-the-wall statement DC shared with us all....'were all in this together'....that comment was to bluff the public into thinking the publics needs and wants would be taken seriously by 'him' and politicians in general....thats why this new wage demand has been played down/not mentioned by these moronic politicians.
Rest assured - it will be an 'all parties' agreement on this issue - the 'only thing' they'll all agree on for years to come.

Of course its fair they have to attend work 2 days a week sometimes and they don't just sit blowing hot air all the time..
Shouldn't it be a pay freeze if we are all in it together ?
