There is no nuclear fusion inside the Earth. And convection is not a heat source, it is a way that heat gets moved around.
Perhaps you mean nuclear fission? There is quite a bit of that inside the Earth.

Radioactive Decay keeps the Earths centre warm and Convection and the tectonic plates, keep the earth cool enough so that the Earths core does not overheat!
