Makes you wonder why Congress has rendered itself so irrelevant that it can't ever pull out the Constitution, show it to the President and say, "No war without our OK!" Oh wait, that would require Congress to actually consider and respect the Constitution as law rather than as a set of frequently-inconvenient-to-their-quest-for-more-power set of loose guidelines.
Most of our wars since have been nothing more than welfare checks for corporations that are involved in the war industry. If there was no war, then they wouldn't have much money to make.
They elected Republicans to end two wars started under a Democrats, now they have elected a Democrat to stop two wars start under a Republican! Are we making progress?
It is stupid and foolish to blanket identify every conflict that occurred since World War 2 the same way. You have to look at each of them in their individual contexts.
