Solve for x, e^(x) − 30e^(−x) − 1 = 0?

I give up! I've tried multiple ways, which come to think of it should only be one way lol. Please help.

the answer is 1.7917595

i graphed it in a calculator, and that is where the equation crosses the x axis

Multiply both sides by e^x

(e^x)^2 - e^x - 30 = 0

This is quadratic in e^x. Factor it like you would any quadratic equation.
