Is it bad that I cannot even begin to straighten my legs out for exercises like flutterkicks, scissor kicks, etc? I am 20 years old and very active as a college volleyball player, but when I try to do exercises like that my legs get hardly above 90 degrees. Does that have something to do with tight hamstrings, tight back, bad knees, etc? What can I do to improve this? Any insight would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Well i have problems with my left knee because of this, I'm only 14 but my quad muscles are very tight. I have some exercises from physio. I have to hold my leg as far up as i can whilst lying down and my other leg flat on the ground, u mat need some help to keep your leg flat on the ground or to keep the other one up(do this for 15 seconds, three times and then to the opposite leg) i then have to lunge against the wall, again for 15 seconds, three times(rest imbetween). I then have to hold my knees to my chest(15secs,3times) then lie on my front and hold my leg to my bum for 15 seconds, 3 times. And switch legs after doing 3 lots of 15 seconds. I hope this helps! I have to do this daily, 2/3 times a day but don't over do it if its too much for you x
