Nissan Micra 4 K13 other fluids than NS 2 okay for cvt gearbox?
Hello.
In the maintenance manual it is written that it should only be used NS 2 Fluid for the gearbox.
In the Internet you can find other products. If it is exactly the same Fluid there cant be any Problem. Can you recommendend any brand?
(Maybe much cheaper than the original one)
Do you know what kind of fluid is exactly the ns2 in it (other terminal designation or description) ?

I recommend all my customers with a CVT transmission in their vehicle to get the ATF replaced at the dealer for a CVT tranny. That way you have records at the dealer for when the CVT transmission fails and a better chance to get a customer goodwill warranty to replace it. You likely don't have the special tool for filling the transmission correctly anyway.
I'm not going to recommend anything other that what the manufacturers state. CVTs can be fractious.
If you fail to stick to the manufacturer's recommendation you risk damaging your transmission. Would you do that to save pennies? I wouldn't.
