Hey everyone!
I'm going to start following NCAA football more closely, but I don't know who to cheer for. I'm not in college yet, so I cant pick my allegiances there, and no one that I know has gone to a D1 school. Basically, I want to be able to follow a winning team, but not such an obvious pick that I'd be considered a "fairweather fan". In my family (we live in the midwest), my cousin likes Notre Dame, my uncles like Texas, UWV, and UConn. At this point, I'd lean more towards Notre Dame than anyone, but i'm open to suggestions. What do you think?

My first thought was Tennessee because that's where Peyton Manning came out of, my favorite NFL player. So I think I'll probably go with them, unless I'm forgetting a school that's more fun to watch?

WVU they are the more fun to watch. Notre dame has not beaten a ranked team in over 4 years.
Notre Dame has not won a BCS Bowl game since probably before you were born (1989). WVU has won 2 in the last 5 years
Dont drink the Espn/ NBC fabricated kool-aid Notre Dame is a fraud college football team. they only get on tv because they get ratings not because they are a good team
4 of the last 5 weeks notre dame has played teams they should have beaten by 20 points. and the other team has had the lead in the last 2 mins needing a 'miracle' to win . USC is the only exception they were a quality team And ND lost
I picked LSU and I live in maryland. Just pick a team and go withem! Everyone who is new to college football picks Notre Dame or USC

I live an hour east of ND, but my family is from Alabama. Everything else for me is Chicago, but Alabama is #1. Pick a team close to you, or whomever your family follows.
Just dont pick Tennessee, Florida, LSU or Auburn
Pick what ever school you want to root for. I root for Michigan since I live right by Ann Arbor and there great history plus everyone heres a Michigan fan almost. Go for who ever you want to but you should go for your local team unless you like another school.
Well i like iowa because my cousins went there and my aunt went there. I plan on going there when i get out of high school.
Don't be a bandwagoner and pick USC.
