Download CoreTemp (Avail: http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/) and you can compare the actual temperature with the maximum temperature.
Depending on how close it is to the max (Tj. Max), i would advise perhaps you give your pc a clean. Laptops generally have a higher tempertature than desktops (less ventilation) than a desktop.
However generally, most temperatures are around 40~50 deg c. Get a can of compressed air, and blow it in the vents :) Should help it keep cool.

needs to come down you should be round the 40 on idle or lower
55 ish round full load so i would say it is are you on the stock cooler if so try the ones below
max temp is 73

both good coolers i suggest 1 for a big case as it is fairly massive and 2 if your case is on the small side
It should be at high 40s the highest
