Mandarin word: "qiánbiān" is a mistake?
It seems that there is a mistake (error) in my Mandarin Text book:
I modified the original scentence "A" to give two possible replacements "B" and "C"
A) "Nǐ wàng qiánbiān zǒu yì tiáo jiē",... = Go straight up this street
But I think the scentence should be written:
B) "Nǐ wàng qián zǒu yì tiáo jiē", but given the English translation above, I belive it should be changed further to:
C) "Nǐ wàng qián zǒu zhège jiē (lù)"
{I am teaching myself Mandarin, so don't have a teacher to ask}

Nǐ (you)
wàng (in the direction of)
qián (front)
biān (side)
zǒu (walk)
yì (one)
tiáo (counting or measure word for street)
jiē (street)
"Aprroximate" translation: You walk towards the front (ie in the direction we are facing), one street [away].
In English, you would say "Go straight up, one block away."
I suppose in old China, buildings were not layout in blocks along the streets, so one way to point you to a destination is to use the "next street".
Try:
Ni Wang Qian Mian Zou Yi Tiao Jie
What you had in (A) could be colloquially correct.
Ni wang qianbian zou.
This scentence is no problem.
If it is added by 'yi tiao jie' after, it sounds strange.
