There is NO "best" brand - period. Within the same price range all bikes will be of similar if not exact quality. Sometimes using the exact same components, such as gears, shifters & derailleurs. What does change slightly from one company to the next is frame geometry & how each individual bike "feels" & rides to you alone. Other smaller items like the saddle & pedals (if supplied) may make a difference.
It's up to you to go out & extensively test ride a few. When you find the one that "feels & rides" the best to you - you've found the "best" bicycle.

The Orange G2 (or G3 if you can afford it) might be worth checking out. I'm a huge fan of Orange. Their bikes have never let me down....

the bike that's most comfortable to you is the best one, I'd tell you the intense tazer is a good bike as a start.
