Absolutely.. I do not care that it is 2009. the facts are we are on this earth to reproduce and nature has it for the male/men to be the ones to chase. If you want a one nite stand, go make the first move. If you want a second, third date, leave some mystery, give him a reason why he wants to see you again.Besides, what makes him not think that you do this with every guy you are out with?
So the whole stereotype that girls making a move on a guy is desperate bothers me, but it is sorta true.
What I do is if I see someone who I start liking or think is cute I casually make a move. For example; I'll start talking to them and flirting with them. Start talking to (whichever) boy in a friend-ly way (so you dont come off too strong-hence desperate) and gradually flirt more and more. Soon enough the guy will be interested in you and ask YOU out. That way you still sort of "make the first move" except you don't come off as needy.
Sometimes, sort of. I liked my boyfriend sooo much when I first saw him. We worked in the same bar. I was a cocktail waitress and he was a bouncer. I told my girlfriend (who knew him kinda well) that I liked him a lot and that I wanted him really badly. I didn't say anything else about it, but she went and told him that I said that (I didn't ask her to do it, she just did it), and next thing you know, he saw me later on one night and gave me that sexy look and I knew I could go in for the kill at that moment, so I did.
sometimes it depends on the girl. also it's kinda feels like the guy is always supposed to make the first move. although roles can always be switched around. hoped this helps
I would never make the first move IF I cared about the guy, wanted his respect, and wanted him to have my respect (which would require his making that move - shows he is self-confident).
honestly. there aren't any rules any more. you just have to go with the flow. Some guys might see it as needy . others will find it confident and sexy. so if you make sure he's into u then go for it gurl ;)

The rest is history!
Nope, that's not always true. There are plenty of times I have made the first move, and didn't seem desperate in the least bit.

Well i just think that most girls feel it's the guy's "job" to always make the first move. and we're supposed to just wait around for it to happen....
yeah but when we are brave enough and know the feeling is mutual, we can make the first move or at least I do anyway
