1 peter 3: 18 Why, even Christ died once for all time concerning sins, a righteous [person] for unrighteous ones, that he might lead YOU to God, he being put to death in the flesh, but being made alive in the spirit. [NWT]
As I read this verse it is very clear that Christ was made alive in the spirit and it has not in any way indicated that Christ was made alive as a spirit.
Please explain how the words, “IN THE SPIRIT” mean He was made alive “AS A SPIRIT”.
Now I was very fair and used your version of this verse so please show me how this verse alone means “AS A SPIRIT” and not as written, “IN THE SPIRIT”? Please don't quote or cut and paste the material from the un-anointed men of the WBT$, please in your own words explain this verse and how it proves Christ was resurrected as a spirit and not in his fleshy body.
The KJV which your organization says is the best other than your version says, “1Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
“Quickened or MADE ALIVE BY the spirit” that is hardly, “made alive AS A SPIRIT”
G2227
ζωοποιέω
zōopoieō
dzo-op-oy-eh'-o
From the same as G2226 and G4160; to (re-) vitalize (literally or figuratively): - make alive, give life, quicken.
Strong’s shows Quicken to mean, “Made alive”
So the King James version tells us Christ was made ALIVE BY THE spirit! [Caps mine]
Update:@conundrum, when you are willing to answer a question and not just try to deflect attention from the question by abusing the asker because it exposes the lies of the Watchtower organization, I will know you are starting to mature, God bless you.

I guess according to conundrum you have to be a mature Christian to understand that "being made alive in the spirit" has the same meaning as being made alive as a spirit". I just can see that though. Maybe conundrum's command of the English language is not so up to par, let alone his Greek. But he had some great teachers in the Watchtower, as we all well know certain court cases in which one of those great teachers was questioned on his abilities in which he lied about and then couldn't answer... Anyhow, the very meaning is that he was made alive, made alive in the spirit. If he were made alive in the east room, would conundrum say he was an east room? They made a movie that reminds me of conundrum with Jim Carry and some other guy. They were not smart guys either.
It just goes to show you the length that they will go to promote a false concept...
It wouldn't make a difference to you. You not spiritually mature enough to understand.
You read John1:1- and say it supports the trinity doctrine that Jesus is God- what you fail to understand is that only TWO are mentioned at that verse.
When John 20:17 is brought to your attention that Jesus has a God... the response is " Jesus was speaking as a man.
When the apostle Paul: wrote : “The head of every man is the Christ; in turn the head of a woman is the man; in turn the head of the Christ is God.” (1Â Corinthians 11:3)
Another excuse will come along..
Like l said- you not mature enough.
I am a Christian.
You go girl! Keep pounding the JW with truth!
