Acts.15:20 but to write them to abstain from things polluted by idols and from fornication and from what is strangled and from blood. [NWT]
Most people know of the WBTS basic situation on abstaining from blood, if this passage [the only NT reference you have] is a clear restriction to blood it stands to reason that it also applies equally to food polluted by idols, from fornication and from what is strangled.
Please explain to me what Paul is on about in 1 Corinthians 10:23 to 30?
It seem clear he does not find eating meat offered to idols to be a totally forbidden law that must be obeyed, how is this different to blood?
While it could be argued Paul did not approve of eating meat offered to idols, he clearly did not make it to be a sin, just something that could upset another. Is that how bloos should be seen?
1 Corinthians 10:23 All things are lawful; but not all things are advantageous. All things are lawful; but not all things build up. 24 Let each one keep seeking, not his own [advantage], but that of the other person.
25 Everything that is sold in a meat market keep eating, making no inquiry on account of YOUR conscience; 26 for “to Jehovah belong the earth and that which fills it.” 27 If anyone of the unbelievers invites YOU and YOU wish to go, proceed to eat everything that is set before YOU, making no inquiry on account of YOUR conscience. 28 But if anyone should say to YOU: “This is something offered in sacrifice,” do not eat on account of the one that disclosed it and on account of conscience. 29 “Conscience,” I say, not your own, but that of the other person. For why should it be that my freedom is judged by another person’s conscience? 30 If I am partaking with thanks, why am I to be spoken of abusively over that for which I give thanks?
Update:I am sorry @Paisleymoon, but I fail to see how pointing out apparent errors of an organization is knocking God. God did not make them, just self professed uninspired men did.
What are things polluted by idols if not food? What else do you see offered to idols that we should abstain from?
1 Corinthians 10:28 ....“This is something offered in sacrifice,” do not eat ....... sound like food offered to idols to me, Fail....

You're right Moses' Tables. You have hope in the resurrection so no blood to save your life. So no medication for you either, no fractions or "non blood" treatment because that wouldn't be showing faith in the resurrection now would it? No life jackets, in fact, if you fall in the water why not just sink instead of trying to swim? Swimming would be trying to save your life and that wouldn't be showing faith that God will save you would it? You DO realize how awful that argument of yours was, don't you?
You are twisting the meaning of Acts 15:20 -- it has to do with the sanctity of blood and life. Acts 15:20 speaks of engaging in idolatry, not food. Maybe I'm wrong, but I suspect you know well the answer to this question. How sad that in your attempt to ridicule JWs you bring reproach upon the name of the most high God, Jehovah!
2 Peter 3:3 "For you know this first, that in the last days there will come ridiculers with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires."
2 Corinthians 4:3,4 "If, now, the good news we declare is in fact veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing, 4 among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through."
As Isaiah 48:18 says: "O if only you would actually pay attention to my commandments! Then your peace would become just like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea."
[the only NT reference We have???.....are you sure??...Why Don't you keep reading the same chapter that repeat the same again?
Look....if you want JWs to be vampires that suck blood... vampire use blood to sustain the life.... JWs only accept Jesus's blood to save our lifes.
If you want to use blood ...good...go on.....but we won't do it....you don't have faith in resurrection....and for someone who claim that if he died will go to heaven ...why are you so scare to die??
Maybe because you don't believe that.
