The Watchtower Society teaches that Judgment day will be 1000 years long.
[ After Armageddon, Satan and his demons will be imprisoned in an abyss for a thousand years. During that time, the 144,000 heavenly joint heirs will be judges and will rule “as kings with the Christ for a thousand years.” (Revelation 14:1-3; 20:1-4; Romans 8:17) Judgment Day is not some hurried event lasting a mere 24 hours. It lasts a thousand years.]

They use the “Day” "According to Acts 17:31, the apostle Paul said that God “has set a day in which he purposes to judge"
The problem I have with that is that the “DAY” in that verse is translated from G2250, ἡμέρα, hēmera, (Strong defines it as (literally) the time space between dawn and dark, or the whole 24 hours)
It is used over 80 times in Acts alone and all refer to just a 24 hour period.
Acts 10:40 tells us that God raised Christ on the third day [ἡμέρα, hēmera]
Act 10:40 Him God raised up the third day,G2250 and shewed him openly;
Acts 10:40 τοῦτον ὁ Θεὸς ἤγειρε τῇ τρίτῃ ἡμέρᾳ καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτὸν ἐμφανῆ γενέσθαι,
If Luke has used ἡμέρα, hēmera, to tell of 24 hour days how can it be translated to mean 1000 years in Acts 17:31 only?
Acts 1:2 …….until the day that he was taken up, [NWT]
Verse 3 …… throughout forty days and ……[NWT]
Verse 5……not many days after this. [NWT] etc, etc, over 80 times.
Update:@Steve P - JW, if you had read the question it tells us that the JW's count a day [ἡμέρα, hēmera] as 1000 years in Acts, so are you telling us that the WBTS is wrong or what? How many hours was Christ in the grave?

Lol....
You've answered your own question. You quoted Acts 17:31 that says "God has set a Day in which he purposes to judge." And then you quoted Rev. 20:1-4 where it mentions that they ruled with Christ for a 1000 years. Revelation is saying that the Day, that Acts is talking about, is actually the 1000 year rule of Christ. And Christ was 3 days in the grave not 3000 years. Wherever did you get that idea ?
"JW’s how long was Christ in the tomb, was it 3 days or 3000 years?"
LOL!!! Dude, you're a glutton for putting your ignorance out for all to see aren't cha?
"The Watchtower Society teaches that Judgment day will be 1000 years long."
Uh, no, correction... God's Word THE BIBLE teaches, shows and reveals that Judgment Day will be 1,000 years long and the Watchtower Bible Tract Society simply PROCLAIMS the Bible's teaching.
Geesh, get the facts straight for once already.
Oh well, like I have stated to you before, your posting which *TRY* to "bash" / put down our BIBLE BASED BELIEFS are actually SERVING Almighty Jehovah God's cause and purpose in that they provide we who are His Witnesses to provide an ACCURATE testimony grounded in God's Word as opposed to the philosophies and hand me down beliefs of Christendom which are based in pagan Greek philosophy. Thank you very much, we appreciate the opportunity to proclaim the Truth and thoroughly EXPOSE false beliefs for what they truly are... OPPOSITION to God's Word. ;-)
When it comes to "Judgment Day" many of the clergy, members of Christendom and people in general imagine a great throne, and in front of it a long line of persons who have been resurrected from the dead. As each person passes before the throne, he is judged by his past deeds, all of which are written down in the Judge’s book. Based on the things he did, the person is sent by God either to heaven or to a fiery hell to roast eternally in unending pain and suffering.
The Bible (not the Watchtower Society), however, gives a much different picture of Judgment Day. It is not a day to be dreaded or feared. Note what the Bible says of God: “He has set a day in which he purposes to judge the inhabited earth in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed.” (Acts 17:31) This judge appointed by God is, of course, Jesus Christ.
We can be sure that Christ will be fair and just in his judgment. A prophecy regarding him at Isaiah 11:3, 4 assures us of this. So, contrary to popular opinion, he will not judge persons on the basis of their past sins, many of which may have been committed in ignorance. The Bible explains at Romans 6:7 that at death a person is set free or released from any sins he has committed. It says: “He who has died has been acquitted from his sin.”
This means that when a person is resurrected he will be judged on the basis of what he does DURING Judgment Day, not on what he did BEFORE he died.
Judgment Day, therefore, IS NOT a literal 24-hour day. The Bible makes this absolutely, positively crystal clear when it speaks of those who will share with Jesus Christ in doing the judging at 1Â Corinthians 6:1-3.
“I saw thrones,” the Bible writer says, “and there were those who sat down on them, and power of judging was given them.” These judges are Christ’s faithful anointed followers who, as the Bible goes on to say, “came to life and ruled as kings with the Christ for a thousand years”.
So Judgment Day WILL be 1,000 years long. It is the exact same 1,000-year period during which Christ and his 144,000 faithful anointed followers will rule as “new heavens” over the “new earth.”—Revelation 20:4, 6; 2 Peter 3:13.
Hey, but like I always say, by all means, feel free to continue believing whatever you want and we'll continue to put our faith in GENUINE CHRISTIANITY (not what Christendom has been misleading people for CENTURIES into believing is Christianity) taught and found in the Bible, founded by Jesus Christ, practiced by the apostles and disciples of the first century Church and proclaimed by the legal agency used by JEHOVAH'S Witnesses today known as the Watchtower Bible Tract Society.
Keep trying "I Try", keep trying.
Ciao
~ 2 Peter 3:8:
"However, let this one fact not be escaping YOUR notice, beloved ones, that one day is with Jehovah as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day."
3 days
You are confused & mixing scriptures together that have no connection in order to misrepresent our beliefs.
Are your own beliefs so weak that you have to constantly resort to doing this?
Anyway, it's not your intention I know .... but thank you for bringing people's attention to our beliefs.
3 days as they were days to humans and not to god
and you must not have anything better to do apostate
Jesus died for parts of 3 days.
