Is it saying that the land mass of America entered or that just the American athletes entered?
Many JW’s have pointed out that the reference to a lake of fire in Revelation 20:14 “And death and hell were cast into the Lake of Fire” is just symbolic as “death and hell” could not be cast into the Lake of Fire as they are places.
If “America entered the arena” means that it is America’s athletes and not the land mass, how come you claim Revelation means the places [death and hell] and not the people in them as shown by the previous verse.
Revelation 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead in it. And death and hell delivered up the dead in them. And each one of them was judged according to their works.
For your interpretation to be correct, wouldn't verse 13 mean that Death and Hell were judged according to their works?
What works did they do?
Update:great gig in the sky,
Thank you for your input, I just have no idea what it is. Did the American land mass enter the arena?

Great comparison. Definitely something for them to think about. I'd like to see Yellowstone National Park take part in the high jump, and Lake Erie do the shot put.
This is one of their childish responses to questions. Just like, "Who was running heaven when Jesus was here if he was God?"
"Death and Hell" literally mean "not to exist and the grave". What about the dead in mausoleums or at sea or cremated? While not buried, they are just as dead and the grave for them is wherever they are at the time. Some living carry the dead ashes in pots around with them. So Hell is more than only one place. Likewise in how they died. Death is caused in too many different ways.
So death and Hell here are conditions rather than specific places.
Verse 14 explains those conditions, like the unrighteous people, will be done away with forever. Death and Hell will no longer exist. Unlike the 1st death in verse 13, there is no escape from the second death. The 1st death has people being restored to life. Not the 2nd.
The last sentence of 14 explains what the Lake of Fire means, the second death. Not literal fire.
Not a JW.
Then where is your argument for the ETERNAL soul? If the lake of fire has to mean complete destruction. By your interpretation people in 'death' & 'hell' (to you a literal place of eternal torment) get 'cast into the lake of fire' that means those in hell somehow get even more punished(?) like some sort of second stage(?).
Question: For your interpretation to be correct, wouldn't verse 13 mean that Death and Hell were judged according to their works?
The word 'in' shows location rather then persons.
And the sea gave up the dead (nekros)...in...it. And death (thanatos) and hell delivered up the dead (nekros) ...in...them. And each one of them was judged according to their works.
thanatos (Death) and hades (the grave) delivered up the nekros (dead) that were in them.
I TRY... What the February are you talking about? You can't seriously think that anyone with any common sense would actually take time and listen to all your weird drivel, do you? Nooooo! Come on, there's a lot smarter people on Answers that know you have nothing better to do then entertain yourself and possibly about four other anti-truth jabberites with all of this... this... whatever this is.
You're silly! & also you must be very bored. Your questions are constantly jumbled up words that makes no sense at all. You should pay attention to your own user name & apply it more! Stay off of Y!A until you know how to use it properly! Without the slander, misquotes, lies, insults & well.... really we're not impressed!
The lake of fire is destruction. It is the second death. Hell is destroyed and death as well.
The lake of fire is not a good place to go. It is the end.
USA has one of the highest rates of rape
United States of America is supposed to be one of the most advanced countries of the world. It also has one of the highest rates of rape in any country in the world. According to a FBI report, in the year 1990, every day on an average 1756 cases of rape were committed in U.S.A alone. Later another report said that on an average everyday 1900 cases of rapes are committed in USA. The year was not mentioned. May be it was 1992 or 1993. May be the Americans got ‘bolder’ in the following years.
Consider a scenario where the Islamic hijaab is followed in America. Whenever a man looks at a woman and any brazen or unashamed thought comes to his mind, he lowers his gaze. Every woman wears the Islamic hijaab, that is the complete body is covered except the face and the hands upto the wrist. After this if any man commits rape he is given capital punishment. I ask you, in such a scenario, will the rate of rape in America increase, will it remain the same, or will it decrease?
