Here is another verse for you to consider. Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but my Father only. Jesus is taking about his return to earth here. The lesson for all is to be ready at any hour for we know not when Jesus will return.

Consider also that Jesus had other things to say just before this verse 27 and verse 28 is in another paragraph altogether.

For the Son of man will come in the glory of his Father with His angels, Then he will reward each according to his works. vs 28 Assuredly , I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste of death till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

I have one more verse for you the Son of man was seen going into his kingdom in Acts 1:9-11 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received him out of there sight, And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said Men of Galilee why you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.

The martyr Stephen saw Jesus up in heaven he might have been in the crowd at the time he saw this when he was stoned for his testimony. Acts 7:55,56 But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. and said, Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of man standing at the right hand of God!

Thanks for the question friend. you see some did see the Son coming in His glory as he was up in glory with God in heaven but their will be a day when Jesus will come back with a loud trumpet and all those in the grave will see him coming in the clouds. lol.Christians love to answer the question by giving the run around. Every time there's a question that disproves christianity. Their incapable of thinking outside the box. like what if your wrong christian? The fact is jesus failed literally everything the messiah was suppose to do according to Torah (5 books of Moses) , the only proof of the resurection is that there was an empty tomb,and taking 1 mans word for it. And sins were forgiven way before jesus was even born. by ATONEMENT. and while the temple was standing unintentional sins were delt with by giving a sacrifice, and if the person was poor, they gave flour in its place. (sacrifice can't be done today because the temple was destroyed).

Also if you read the Torah you can easily see it clearly says in the last book of it (deuteronomy) that its eternal, and can never be added to, taken away from, or changed. (violated by the new testament)

You are correct to say jesus failed his (made up) prophecy of his return. the people that believed he was messiah either stopped believing after that generation died out, or they were in denial. they thought well, i guess he'll come back at a later time. but he never came back. So there you have it. Christianity debunked. having no legitimacy to gods real teachings. God's only true book given to the world was the Torah. given at mt Sinai. Witnessed by millions.

I think you're a little too optimistic with yourself now.

He wasn't God , just His literal son . But his determination to keep his conscience clean was great . Now , if we do what he taught , maybe we will be able to sit at God's right side too .
