Is there ever really a civil way to steal another guy’s girlfriend?
Me and this girl sort of developed feelings for each other but she already has a boyfriend. She has expressed a strong desire in leaving him for me, but neither one of us wants to hurt him. He isn’t really a friend of mine per say but I don’t have anything against him or any desire to see him embarrassed or hurt.

If she really liked you over her current boyfriend, why hasn't she already broken up? Why does she keep dating him?
If you really think you're better for her, then you have to just wait it out and hope she realizes it too. And you can't "steal" her from him. Because if she breaks up with him for you, then it will only be a matter of time before she does the same thing to you, for someone else...
If she really likes and respects you, then she would end things with this other guy as soon as possible, instead of dragging things and making them worse for all three of you.
