A little of both. It looks like they have mostly helped the Democrats and by overcoming the people that wanted to have the Republican big tent and wanting to go back to being a white party they will pay big dividends for the Democrats as whites become a minority in 2014. 2012 in Texas. When Texas becomes a swing state I do not see another Republican President until the party changes, and that will not happen with the fanatics that are out there now. They have gotten totally irrational. Really Ill.
In the last analysis the Tea Party will end up helping the Democrats. People are afraid of extremists and these will make Bush look like a liberal. So if they won they would multiply the problems left behind him, a thousand fold, and nobody in his right mind wants that to happen.
The main agenda of the Tea Party is to reduce the size, and scope, of government. Whatever candidate shares this philosophy will be endorsed by the Tea Party. It's more of a conservative vs. liberal situation. Ultimately, the Tea Party just wants to be heard.
Both. A few long term Republicans were kicked out during the voting for who will run in the primaries. Now that the primaries are here, it's time to kick out the Democrats.
Appears the entire right wing has come together against the left; republicans, conservatives, libertarians and the Tea Party. I'm curious as a republican to see how it turns out, possibly the rebirth of America.
They are depressing the entire country and making us feel like the country has gone to the dogs. Have you seen their candidates? Depressing indeed. Really dumbed down.

They think they're helping Republicans.
But, they're endorsing virtually unelectable candidates.
Or, worse yet, they'll get those candidates into office and really screw things up for the next term.
From what I've seen of their candidates, I expect their terms in office to be disastrous.
Ultimately, what they're doing helps Democrats, whether for this term or the next.

Voter turn out is high in early voting.
That always favors Democrats.
Since Tea Party candidates are running on the Republican ticket, I guess that's your answer.
