when your computer if full of programs and when some system files/booting files are damaged with a virus or anything, system MAY try to boot from any removable that attached, which makes annoying error messages at start up of your PC.
use USB for file transfers only not to attach it permanently.
ya its fine , but some mother boards use secondary or third boot device as ur removable flash drive if ur mb supports it u can disable the option using ur mother boards bios settings then it will be ok .
