My friend once told me after a trivial argument that 'Just like a book if the cover is unattractive ,would you read it ? ' while l told her that all that really matters is what you can do as long as you're not a model.
She held her faith in the cynical sayings of society like how it is essential to step on others to get to higher heights, inward appearance is a very tenacious thing. Once you change the way you look ,it doesn't often matter how you changed it. People won't boycott you based on how you did it ,unless you killed someone for it .
lnward appearance is vastly unsimilar ,you can change how you behave around others but how you behave is not really how you feel then. How you will react in situations ,if its not how you feel then you are just pretending are you ?
The bible is wrong at this point ,beauty isn't always fleeting .lts just something people who find themselves inferior in terms of beauty ,hoping it is true so that they may one day shine above others .The fact is if there is someone who can maintain their good looks thru their lives ,then it surely isn't fleeting as many people don't make a first impression on how you behave unless its really obvious .
Putting effort into your inward appearance could benefit the people around you and in turn benefit your social standing ,in the end you are just pretending. Not to say thats a bad thing ,just to say that won't be your inward appearance .
What a wonderful question! Thank you for asking it! I actually used to be a model years ago, and it always felt sad to me how little effort some of the gals I worked with put towards their inner selves.
Now all these years later, they are not happy, healthy people now that they are too old to be models.
So physical beauty is indeed VERY fleeting. I put some effort towards looking attractive by own standards so I feel good about myself.
But much more effort towards the REAL me, which is beyond my physical appearance and will always be.
not much effort on my outward appearance. as for my inward appearance I would rather have the inner appearance of a spirit freed from the bondage to an evil tyrannical god than a follower of that particular tyrant.
My goal is always clean and neat. My clothes are almost all second hand (hallelujah for Goodwill) and my shoes are pretty ordinary and "go with" more than one outfit. Most of my tops go with most of my pants. My hair is a simple style that easy easy to maintain. Again, just neat and clean. However, if I'm going out to an event or nice dinner, I do turn it up a few notches.
I do put more effort into my inner self. I love to read and learn new things. I enjoy helping people
Outward, when not pregnant, just try to stay in shape for a few reasons, but majority for my husband as he is the one to see me naked. Since I don't wear make-up and do dress modest as I can, this is my way to show off to him and him only!
Inward, I try my hardest to love everyone. Love is the happiest of emotions and shines through well!!
Well, beauty IS fleeting, and it doesn't make a fig of difference what the Bible might or might not say.
I think people pay attention to their personal appearance because they want to be attractive to others or nat least not repugnant. Tomorrow is another day.......
Very little. I'm not a vain person. I am a shop-a-holic when it comes to clothes and shoes though. Getting ready for work usually takes about 15 minutes every morning.
alot more on the inner....I am kinda an ageing hippie and really do no makeup, ect....I do use some herbal things, but seeing as i was mistaken for 40 the other day and I am going on 53....that was kinda flattering, but usually appearance does not affect me either way

Thanks again for asking such an awsome question.

At this point (30 years old), I can honestly say that I spend more time on my inward appearance than my outward.
