I am head over heels in love with my best friend. I want to do something big and crazy to show her that I am instead of telling her, but it’s complicated. She knows that I like her, but doesn’t know how much. (We’re teens btw). She is absolutely terrified of relationships because her last one was abusive and she was in a bad place because of it. So I need a big thing to show her that I love her and she means the world to me, but I can’t lose her as a friend. I am okay with just being her friend for now, but I can’t stand holding this in from her for a lot longer. It causes an actual physical pain to see her with other people, especially my other best friends. What should I do? I’ve thought of somehow getting her favorite band to perform for her, getting some sort of elephant (her favorite animal) meet and greet and a lot more.
