This is an SAT Math question basically. I was wondering how to solve it for future reference. Also, I could use help with those tricky operations that aren't ones with which one typically is familiar. Example: p ☐ m = p, and p △ m = m; which of the following values must be true? (Just give me any that would be true, and please explain. I really am trying to improve myself.)
Update:A bit of a footnote, all the answers to the first problem included 1s--answers such as x+1/x-1 and x+1/x... this really threw me off.

r + s = x
solve for (r + s) / r in terms of x?
we know r + s = x, so this is x / r
and since r + s = x, that means r = x - s
so (r + s) / r = x / r = x / (x - s)
