And it takes time to lose weight and get into shape. Cutting down on sugar isn't a good way to lose weight. Sugar is addictive, it's like a drug, so just stop using it totally. I don't eat it ever. Or grains.
Well if you have been lifting weights then yes, it is possible that you are gaining from muscle mass. Maybe look at your waist size. Do your pants feel loose? If so you are losing fat around your mid-section and gaining through muscle. I'd consider that a good thing!
