I recently applied to cal state, but I dropped a class I didn’t need my last semester of college. Would this affect my admission? ?
Update:
I was only taking the course as back plan because other universities required it but the the university I wanted to go didn’t. I dropped for get a w. And a week later, I got the the provisional acceptance.

If you didn't need the course then no, assuming they don't have a requirement for say a number of credits and you drop below the requirement. Should have thought about this before you dropped the course.
Why don't you ask them. We cannot look into the minds of those in charge of the admissions.
