I don’t have a decided major for college and I want to take the general education classes that I need for graduation. My mom won't help me, and I'm kind of clueless. I don't know what classes you're supposed to take for graduation... I plan on going to a community college for two years (Schoolcraft in Michigan) and then transferring later to an undecided college. Please help!

When you enter a JC, you will be expected to take placement exams, the result of which will tell you which prerequisite undergraduate courses you need to start with. There is an English placement class to determine which level of Composition course you are expected to take. There is no re-taking these tests if you find you are not placed at a level you think you deserve, but do not worry.
For a first semester, you are working on getting your bearings, so you need to see a counselor to talk about academic goals. Make this appointment at the Admission and Records Office or Counseling, wherever they house these services. Ask the counselor or advisor what he/she advise you begin with for your first semester. Take it from there and do not concern yourself with deciding on a major. Your goal is to work on basic college skills, ranging from math and science, English and history. Do not become over-excited and sign up for just any course that strikes your fancy, or worse, the same ones your buddies are signing up for, unless it happens to be a general education course you need. Focus on general education courses, only. This is extremely wise in the short and long run.
Good Luck
p.s. Turn off your cell phone before entering class.
Honestly, talk to the college not us. I am going the same route you are (community then university) and ALL colleges have different standards and rules. For example, at my school you must take a college experience class to graduate if you are coming in right out of high school, other schools may not require this. We haven't spoken to the college, but you can. Ask about their degree programs and talk to an advisor, this will seriously help. In total honesty, strangers on the internet can't help you, but the college can. :)
in case you pass take the AP try for the class and pass it with a good score. maximum faculties provide you with credit for a three, yet some will require a 4 for specific matters, or perchance a 5 whether it fairly is an ivy league college of a few style, desire that enables, yet yeah, AP credit helped me out lots it fairly is worth it to not in undemanding terms take the class yet initiate examining for the examination months earlier hand. purchase a pair books on AP prep from Barnes and Noble, they are not too costly and extremely powerful, pondering AP tests are kinda costly. yet AP tests finally end up saving you 1000's, even hundreds of greenbacks on the grounds that college is soo costly. good luck
It's different for every college. Visit your college and talk to the counselours. They should be able to give you the correct information.
PLEASE chose a major or you'll be wasting time and money because each major has specific gen. ed requirements they want. If you go to community college, you'll be doing it all over again at a university level, unless you stop at that A.A. level.
